Tuscany 2 - Cities

Guess what the theme of this blog post is?  So yeah, a big part of Tuscany is all the little cities and towns that you can find in it.  A lot of tourists will only see the largest cities (Florence and maybe Pisa and Siena), but there are so many smaller towns that are worth checking out too (though they are difficult to get to without renting a car)!  I can't even name all the cities and towns we checked out...  Florence (oops, lol), Siena, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Chinciano Terme...???  I think there were a few more...

Nutella croissant and a happy face cappucino?  I don't hate mornings anymore :)

And processions through the town just for me?  :D

Fiat 500 - so quintessentially Italian...  Though the ride quality must be terrible (especially on Italian roads).

Truffle lasagne.  Probably the ONLY thing that I've ever had where I said the original version is better than the truffled version...

Beer and meat.  Well...  I may be in Italy, but I'm still ME!!!

Honestly, I'm not even sure that this was a one-way road

Hot melting cheese and honey on toast.  Surprisingly delicious!

Yay!  It's a picture of Vancouver!  Hey, wait a minute...

Siena is a very cool city!  Not as famous as Florence, but they were competing with Florence for hegemony over the area (back when Italy was composed primarily of independent city-states) and you can definitely see the former glory of the city still.

Look at all those ants...

It was very cool to see this in the late afternoon.  The sunlight made it look like the tower was made of gold!
