Tuscany 3 - The countryside

The Tuscan countryside is amazing.  Granted, we went at the end of an unusually dry summer, so there's a lot less green than usual and everything was pretty dried up...  but I thought that the views were still pretty awesome.  But to explore this properly, you really need a vehicle (I'd suggest something with higher ground clearance and 4WD if you intend to do quite a bit of offroading.  Which I, of course, didn't do...  noooooooo of course not...  :P).

lol Kelven doing whatever it takes to get the shot he wants

Yeah...  lying on the ground is so much easier than climbing on a car, so I'll try that

See that windy road?  Looks like so much fun to drive!  Actually it's a bumpy dirt road and I inched up at like 30 km/h because I didn't want to die so...  maybe not so much fun lol

Gravel roads galore!

And dirt roads too...  oh the poor Bimmer got beaten up like a rented mule on those "roads"

Or in some cases, no road at all.  How the hell did we get here???  FYI the dirt you can see there is super loose so we didn't want to drive those parts with our RWD in case we lost traction and got stuck :(

Right.  Where the hell are we???  According to the GPS - middle of nowhere.  Great, that's helpful...  lol

WOW!  A PAVED ROAD!!!  lol I bet our poor car was happy to see this!  :D

Gotta eat to replenish the strength that...  the car used up on those dirt roads...  lol

I may have left Florence, but I can still have Florentine steak...  This place we went to was awesome.  Packed house - reservations only, no room for walk-ins (except for me and Kelven because...  we're awesome hahaha).  We ended up sitting right beside the kitchen, and that was so cool because we got to watch the head chef carving up steaks.  He was super friendly.  We told the owner how impressed we were and she gave us their cookbook.  Then the chef came over and signed the page with his picture on it!  Tuscan hospitality at the best, super impressed :D
